Methodology

DoubleTranslation© is a methodology developed by Translator Associates from its experience gained in the field. DoubleTranslation© guarantees the accuracy of translations through a double process of independent translation and proofreading, at the same low price.

1. The client is assigned to one of our senior associates based on language requirement. This senior associate assumes ownership of the project and is the client’s single point of contact. According to the requirements of the project, he/she makes the selection from our worldwide network of the most appropriate translator and of a native proofreader who is a resident in the target country.
2. The selected translator performs the initial translation, giving special consideration to the essence of the text.
3. The selected editor - a native speaker of the language of translation and residing in the target country - proofreads the draft and makes suggestions regarding both the consistency of the translated text and native nuances.
4. The senior associate, in cooperation with both the translator and the editor, makes the final decisions about the edits.

Lexicheck©: This lexicon is created to enable the client to quickly validate that the terminology used has been translated correctly. Furthermore, Lexicheck© ensures that the terminology is used consistently throughout the document. It is also possible to store the terminology developed in Lexicheck© for revisions or future documents.

CAMS (Computer-Assisted Memory Storage): This service stores the documentation of our clients on our server, with the corresponding Lexichecks and different versions in order to access the documents easily, and facilitate the regular update of documents. This service is included in the Documentation Management process.

Internal Quality Management: Canadian Translator & Associates has developed an internal project management methodology specific to the European market in order to provide the highest level of customer service and customer satisfaction. Our services extend to all language combinations, including the ones that require specific typesetting such as Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Russian, etc...
